According to the announcement of Dr. Mohammad Samiei, Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, the research policies of the university in 1400 were announced as follows.

Greetings, respect and congratulations on the New Year and thanks to the cooperation of your Excellency and faculties in advancing the research goals of the University, the policies of the University Research Center for the year 1400 will be sent:
In order to streamline the processes related to financial support for research in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, the process of granting research credits to faculties and research centers without an independent budget line will continue, as in the years 1397 to 1399.

Note 1: Centers that have recently received an independent budget line will continue to be supported by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of the University until complete financial independence.

Note 2: The budget for the joint dissertation plan approved by all partner centers and faculties will be paid by the Deputy of Research and Technology.
Research credit will be allocated to faculties, research centers, student research committees, and research teams based on the unit's share of the university score in 2019.

Faculties and research centers without an independent budget line, student research committees and research teams are allowed to accept thesis or research projects in 1400 within the framework of their research funding. Payment of all costs of these projects will be from the credit of the relevant unit.

Note 1: The costs of joint dissertation projects between the faculty and research centers will be paid by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology.

Note 2: The dissertations that are performed at the suggestion of the supervisor of one of the research centers of the university, after approval by the relevant department, will be sent to the relevant research center for review and approval by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology. This dissertation, if approved by the research center in question, does not need to be re-judged in the faculty and will be discussed and approved by the faculty council just for information. Obviously, the faculty reserves the right to supervise the implementation of the dissertation. The relevant research center is also obliged to assign the dissertation for a maximum of 3 months.

Note 3: Monitoring and reviewing the cost of dissertation plans and theses is the responsibility of the Faculty / Center Research Council and the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology and the head of the center and the dissertation judges / dissertation plan respond will be responsible for any possible errors in this regard.
