The Pediatric Nursing Department is committed to educating and training skilled, dedicated, and responsible nursing students at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. Grounded in values, social responsibility, Islamic principles, and medical ethics, our mission is to cultivate a supportive learning environment that utilizes modern teaching methods and advanced technology. We aim to develop capable and efficient nurses who can provide comprehensive health services, from prevention to rehabilitation, meeting the evolving needs of specialized sectors and the entire population. Through the scientific and practical expertise of our faculty and students, we strive to advance professional knowledge and contribute innovative research to the field.

Objectives
1- Enhance Human Resources: Train and maintain efficient human resources aligned with health system goals and community needs by:
- Developing programs to improve clinical and theoretical education.
- Reviewing and approving pediatric and neonatology courses at all levels.
- Reviewing and approving lesson plans and clinical course log books.
- Developing a skill lab according to international standards.
- Establishing a cascade education system utilizing postgraduate students.
- Improving students' decision-making and problem-solving skills through evidence-based nursing and critical thinking.
- Actively empowering nursing graduates through at least 5 programs annually.
- Developing virtual education at various levels according to university guidelines.
2- Improve Instructor Motivation and Organizational Climate:
- Establishing scientific status, executive responsibility, and faculty presence in clinical areas.
- Improving the quality of theoretical, practical, and clinical education of instructors by at least 2% annually.
- Improving at least 30% of the pediatric nursing group's main documented processes each year.
3- Promote Research: Actively participate in developing fundamental, technological, and applied research by:
- Developing 5 non-thesis research projects annually.
- Improving the quantity and quality of research publications in reputable journals by 50%.
- Strengthening research areas through identifying appropriate areas and MOUs.
- Developing 10 non-thesis research projects annually.
- Improving the quantity and quality of research publications in reputable journals by 50%.
- Utilizing faculty expertise to design programs supporting student research.
- Developing an executive plan to identify research priorities.
4- Improve Evidence-Based Management and Resource Development: Qualitatively improve and institutionalize evidence-based management and decision-making, emphasizing resource development by:
- Reviewing and qualitatively developing all pediatric nursing disciplines at different levels.
- Quantitatively developing postgraduate disciplines based on territorial planning (one discipline per five-year period).
